Blue Care Network is committed to helping our customers save money. Some of the ways we're helping to keep health care costs low include:
Saving money on prescription drugs

- Encouraging doctors to prescribe the less expensive alternative when they're considering equally effective medications.
- Providing a mail order option that reduces members’ out-of-pocket expenses.
- Maintaining a drug formulary that includes medications we’ve determined are safe and effective.
- Covering over-the-counter generic Claritin and Prilosec OTC for members.
In collaboration with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, we have also developed the following programs that not only help our members stay safe and healthy but also help them save money.
Healthy Blue XtrasSM and Blue365®
With our new Healthy Blue Xtras savings program, members can access special member discounts and trusted health and wellness resources. Members score big savings and special offers on a variety of healthy products and services from companies throughout Michigan and businesses from around the U.S. through Blue365, our national savings program.
Weight Watchers® savings program
Blues members are eligible for special pricing at Florine Mark Weight Watchers locations in northern and southeast Michigan.
BlueSafeSM for Michigan
A discount program at various Michigan retailers, BlueSafe saves our members money on certain safety and health equipment like bike helmets, life vests, and more.
