- Subscribers and covered spouses must meet the requirements.
- If a subscriber or covered spouse is covered by two medical plans, he or she needs to meet the requirements.
- Children and adult dependents on the Healthy Blue Living contract do not need to meet the requirements. We assign them to enhanced or standard benefits based on the subscriber’s benefit level.
- Members whose Medicare coverage is primary do not have to meet the requirements.
- A new spouse added to the subscriber’s contract after the start of the plan year will receive the subscriber’s benefit level. The new spouse will need to meet the requirements for enhanced benefits during the first 90 days of the next plan year.
